Privacy Policy
How Ask Seek Grow and Desert Toad Software LLC handle information in the app, during optional manual cloud sync, through App Store purchases, and when you contact support.
1. Overview
Ask Seek Grow is designed so that the faith, journaling, prayer, question, habit, and Bible-related information you create in the app is stored locally on your device unless you choose to use an eligible cloud-sync feature. Desert Toad Software LLC does not operate a separate account system for storing your Ask Seek Grow content.
2. Information stored on your device
User-created app data is stored locally on your device as part of the app's normal operation. This can include prayers, habits and progress, Gratitude Journal entries, Acts of Service Journal entries, Reflection Journal entries, questions, Bible notes, Bible highlights, Bible bookmarks, and related app settings.
Bible reading and search content is provided from Bible data bundled with the app rather than fetched from an online Bible account or service.
3. Manual iCloud / CloudKit sync
If you have access to manual cloud sync and choose to use it, Ask Seek Grow uses Apple's iCloud and CloudKit services to synchronize eligible app data. Eligible synced data includes Acts of Service Journal entries along with other data supported by the app's current sync implementation. In Version 1, sync is user-initiated: you explicitly tap Sync Now. The app does not represent Version 1 sync as continuous or automatic background synchronization.
Eligible synced data is stored in the private iCloud/CloudKit environment associated with your Apple account, as implemented by the app and Apple's services. Availability and operation of iCloud and CloudKit also depend on Apple, your Apple account, network access, and device settings.
Habit reminder and alarm settings are not included in cloud sync. Those settings remain local to each device.
You can choose not to use manual cloud sync.
4. Reminders and notifications
Ask Seek Grow can use iOS notification permissions for reminders you configure. Notification permissions can be changed in iOS Settings. Device-local reminder settings remain subject to the behavior and permissions provided by iOS.
5. Membership purchases and subscriptions
Membership purchases and subscriptions are processed through Apple's App Store and StoreKit. Apple handles payment processing. Desert Toad Software LLC does not receive your full payment-card details from Apple.
The app may receive purchase or subscription status information from StoreKit as needed to determine whether membership features are available to you. Apple's handling of purchase information is governed by Apple's own privacy terms and policies.
6. Support communications
If you contact us by email, we receive the information you choose to provide, such as your email address, message, and any attachments or diagnostic details you voluntarily include. We use that information to respond to your request and to provide support.
Please avoid sending sensitive information that is not necessary for support.
7. This website
The current Ask Seek Grow website does not include an account sign-in, contact form, advertising code, or third-party analytics or tracking scripts in its published site source. The site itself does not set advertising or analytics cookies.
As with ordinary website hosting, the infrastructure used to deliver the site may process standard technical request information, such as an IP address, browser or device information, requested pages, and timestamps, as needed to deliver and protect the website. That technical processing is separate from your user-created Ask Seek Grow app content.
8. Advertising, tracking, and sale of personal information
Desert Toad Software LLC does not sell your personal information. The current website source does not include third-party advertising or tracking scripts. This policy does not claim the use of analytics, advertising, crash-reporting, or other third-party app SDKs that have not been identified as part of the Version 1 product.
9. Your choices
- You can use the app without enabling manual cloud sync.
- You can control notification permissions in iOS Settings.
- You can delete or archive app items using the controls available in the app where those controls are provided.
- If you have sent information to support by email, you may contact us about that support correspondence and request deletion where applicable.
Deleting the app, changing devices, or changing iCloud settings can affect locally stored or synchronized data. Because Apple controls the underlying iCloud service, some iCloud-related data management is also subject to Apple's tools and policies.
10. Children
Ask Seek Grow is not specifically directed to children under 13. The app does not provide a separate online account system operated by Desert Toad Software LLC. Parents and guardians should decide whether the app is appropriate for a child in their care. If you believe a child has sent personal information directly to our support email, please contact us.
11. Security and data availability
We design the app to keep user-created data local unless you choose an eligible sync feature, but no device, network, or cloud service can be guaranteed to be completely secure or continuously available. You are responsible for maintaining appropriate access controls for your device and Apple account.
12. Third-party services
Apple services used by the app, including the App Store, StoreKit, iCloud, CloudKit, and iOS notification services, are governed by Apple's own terms and privacy practices. Links to other websites are governed by the privacy practices of those sites.
13. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy when the app, website, legal requirements, or data practices change. The effective or last-updated date at the top of this page will be revised when the policy changes materially.
